Love this podcast!

I really enjoy listening to these podcasts. I learn a lot, the questions are interesting, I found some great reads, and great advice to boot. Keep them coming!
Wish it focused more on writers who lead less charmed lives, but the concept is great.

I was initially thrilled to find this podcast. It was exactly what I needed after experiencing a particularly painful literary rejection. However, though I still think it deserves 5 stars, I’m not as excited about it after listening to the interview with Jenny Jackson. Her first unpublished book wasn’t rejected at all. She decided not to put it out there for personal reasons. As painful as that may have been for her, it does not count as rejection. Her story is the opposite of inspiring. An industry insider, she wrote her books quickly and published the one she did choose to share with relative ease. Now that I’m thinking about it, many of the writers interviewed seem to have enjoyed great good luck in their writing careers. None were too old when they debuted, or broke through with atypical projects. Would love to hear from more writers who overcame real obstacles.

It’s amazing how hearing about another writer’s failures can help me overcome my own anxieties about writing, but it totally does!
Fascinating

These interviews are so engaging. I listen to a lot of book podcasts, and I highly recommend this one.
