Reporting; Depp v Heard
Nick Wallis was the first journalist to break the news that Johnny Depp had lost his libel claim against NGN at the High Court in London in July 2020. That hadn't been the plan. When Nick started live tweeting the case from within the courtroom he became the inside track for interested followers around the world. Now Nick is travelling to Virginia to see if he can follow the second instalment of this extraordinary confrontation. Nick will be recording outside the court (no electronic devices are allowed inside the courtroom on this occasion!), speaking to those around him, and summarising each day's proceedings in a daily edition of this podcast. In the middle of this trial will be 10 days of live examination and cross-examination of the two famous faces at the centre of this case. A jury will ultimately decide the outcome, but this podcast will be your daily digest from the courtroom in the celebrity trial of the century. Reporting Depp v Heard is presented by Nick Wallis. SLOW DOWN Sir!

I love & adore YOU & this podcast. However, you deliver the content as though the listener (or someone) has given you a cut off time or some sort of standard in the like. I like to listen to podcasts as I relax and do ordinary tasks around the house, but YOU sir, (in the most respectful way ever) will not allow that with your Sonic speed conversation. Chillll bro! We still still listen if the episode lasts longer than 2.2 minutes. In facts, I would prefer a slower pace. Otherwise, you’re magic! 😉

Have sat in the galley and have seen the jurors and their responses and sometimes they are very different then what’s reported. One particular one tends to nap often. That said, I went into the trial unbiased. I’ve only seen one film between the two of them. I have to say, I do believe Depp was the victim of abuse. I believe she was the instigator. I’m not saying Depp didn’t react but there is zero evidence from police, from body guards, from the nurse and dr that she had any injury. The pictures shown in the court were not taken in full light. They were darkened to produce shadow. Her testimony does not match any photos. Also, she towers over him in heels and the are about the same height and stature. Her chair is also tilted so she can constantly look at him. He has been coloring from the very first day. He cannot look at her which aligns with trauma. I like the breakdown. I do think there are biased guests like the therapist Jessica. The minute you go in biased you turn on white noise to the other side which, I believe, is a disservice to the two in court.
Biased beyond belief!!

Most episodes are light and a fun look at the depp heard case. I was enjoying it until I got to the “women are as violent as men” episode. I had to turn it off. I think the interview with that man was way too long and his perspective made me frustrated.
