Expositional Excerpts

There is one goal with each episode: take a verse of scripture, or part of a verse, or even a few verses and look at them in their context to find the meaning of that text. Furthermore, this will be a systematic approach, meaning that it won't be random verses picked here and there, but will work through entire books of the Bible. The aim of this is to make the Bible accessible to virtually any audience and to keep it on the shorter side.     Revelation 19:20-21

    Revelation 19:17-21 covers the second installment of "The Return of the King" and here we are looking at "The Battle Before the Kingdom." We are working with the idea that We must seek to understand the final battle of the Lord! In v. 17 We considered 1) The invitation to the supper of God. In v. 18 we learned of 2) The purpose of the supper of God. Then, in v. 19 we saw 3) The intent of God's enemies. Then, the rest of v. 11 describes 2) The Purity of the returning King. Vv. 12-13 detail 3) the Description of the returning King. Then, in v. 14 we note 4) The Entourage of the returning King. Now we discover that V. 15 informs us of 5) The Purpose of the returning King.
