Straight, No Chaser
I love it here. I have to admit that I was the owner of Donny’s ‘My Best to You’ album. I also loved Ahmad Jamal’s But Not For Me and Poinciana, on his Live at the Pershing LP. One bought by my father, because I had to have it. The other introduced to me by my father, because he loved it.
I am so entertained by the random facts and stories behind them, of musicians that were so much a part of my childhood. This is so much fun and I am looking forward to hearing many more episodes. I’ll have to pull out the Singleton, and listen to the witty banter about music facts and good whiskey.
Fun!!
Super fun podcast. Can’t wait to listen to older episodes. Keep it up!!
