    The Mayor and His Business--Baine Brooks

    He may be the Mayor of Allen...But this episode is all about his family business:  Two Rows Mayor Baine Brooks has a long history of community service in Allen and North Texas. Before being elected Allen Mayor in 2023, Brooks served as an Allen City Councilmember from 2012-2022 and as Allen Mayor Pro Tem from 2021-2022. Along with his experience in municipal government, Brooks is a former director of the North Texas Food Bank, past president of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association and previously served as regional director of the Texas Restaurant Association. He is also the recipient of several community awards including the National Autism Association’s 2021 Community Angel Award, the 2019 Collin County MLK Jr. Day Drum Major Award and the 2015 Kiwanis Club of Allen Spirit of Community Award. Brooks and his wife own and manage a local Allen restaurant they founded in 1995. He played baseball at Connors State College before transferring to the University of Oklahoma. Mayor Brooks holds a BA in Communications from the University of Oklahoma. In 2013, he was inducted into the Connors State College Baseball Hall of Fame.

    Jason Mallet  joins Robert and Friedo to talk about being a responsible adult when it comes to purchasing a home. Jason is a true Texan born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. He spent 24+ years working corporately in logistics and operations management and still assists with special logistics projects today.   During this time he also built a large sales organization with a nutraceutical company and expanded his entrepreneurial enterprise in 2008 when he purchased and began running JPON Glass Company He has brought expertise in understanding budgeting and financials to the mortgage industry. Jason has a servant’s heart and wants to provide his clients with the information and tools they need to meet their home ownership dreams. Working with and spending extra time with first time home buyers is important to him. He is active in multiple chambers of commerce, loves to network with others and to spend time with his family.

    Ovation Academy -- Angi Burns Founder & Executive Director

    Robert and Friedo are joined by Angi Burns--The Founder and Executive Director of Ovation Academy in McKinney, Texas. Miss Angi has been involved in the Theater since the age of 4. She studied at the Creative Arts and Theatre School through elementary school and continued her study in high school at Plano Sr. High School, as well as in College at Collin College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She earned a Bachelor's degree in both Theatre and Broadcast Communication and went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Concordia University. Angi taught public school Speech, Theatre & Debate for 9 years, directed UIL One-Act play, musicals and a variation of other productions both in the educational setting and throughout the community. Her goal is to develop good humans who can give back to the community in a positive manner through their art.
