Roboism is a show mostly about robots. We are exploring how artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital assistants are affecting our culture. Come explore the humanity behind the bots that are quickly becoming a part of every day life. Hosted by Alex Cox and Kathy Campbell.
Triggering the Maestros
This week, Kathy enlists some help from friends of the show to make Alex's Mac into a joyful robot.
Capitalism With More Steps
You Have a Patina
This week Alex and Kathy get into the weeds of what makes algorithms frustrating, how the users shape their own social networks, and what the tweens are up to.
Worse Than Ticket Master
This week, Kathy shares her experience with the current COVID-19 vaccine and healthcare bots, and Alex goes off brand and can't help but find a little bit of faith in humanity.
You’re Going to Be So Uncomfortable
Alex introduces Kathy Campbell, your new cohost and all around unicorn of a human. We learn her robot favorites, fears, and food goals.
Alex and Savannah discuss whether or not we need air-conditioning, business scarves, and personal temperature regulators.
Yes you do want to learn about Robots!
I started tuning in after meeting Alex Cox at C2E2. I am not a tech person so I wrongly assumed this show wouldn't hold much interest, but was curious enough to try it out. That was over a year ago and I'm still a regular listener. Turns out I'm way more interested in robots than I thought :)
This show is a blast.
Roboism is a ton of fun. The hosts are great! One of the things I love about the show is that it's clear this is a topic they're both fascinated by, but they have very different takes on. That always makes for an interesting discussion. I was bummed out to see that the top review on ituens at present says that says this show and its hosts are sexist. Man, what? It's just two awesome ladies talking about robots. Check a mirror sometime.
