RON "ROCK" LASTER - 27 Years With "The Godfather of Soul" (Show #1 of 2) Recorded 4-11-22 Ep. 83

After learning to play several musical instruments and then becoming a DJ in his hometown of Niagra Falls, New York, Ron "Rock" Laster was offered the opportunity of a lifetime to join forces as a guitarist, and eventually music director, for one of the finest entertainers in the world, James Brown. Ronald "Rock" Laster appeared on the RICK FLYNN PRESENTS podcast and ended up with more, in fact much more, than the hour-long show would hold. He was anxious to promote his new album entitled "Take A Look At This World" by his new group Soul De Lune. Soul De Lune features "The Iconic James Brown Musicians." After 27 very good years, with James Brown, it seems there are more stories and tales from the stage than what could fit in a typical hour-long show. We, therefore, decided to record what we refer to as a "Soul Double Header" which will go down in the history books of Funk and Soul Music forever. This "Soul Double Header" consists of two totally separate and each brand new & different shows which were recorded on April 11, 2022. They were both recorded as promotion for the brand new album which has been a dream project which Ron has wanted to produce for years. The new album, "Take A Look At This World" is 11 songs and is available on Spotify and Pandora and video production is currently underway which will eventually place new videos on YouTube.
