RTP Adventures - Gold and Silver Part 10

So we start our journey through the Anime and Manga toward Ecruteak City. And to start it all off...we barely get out of Goldenrod and actually have to backtrack in the Manga while in the Anime we have an episode still in town before taking off for a lot of game accurate-ish stuff.

In the Pokemon Adventures Manga we meet a Gligar after Gold gets in trouble cheating at pool and the egg he is SUPPOSED to be taking care of ends up in danger and it is up to his Pokemon to save it. Afterward, he is tasked with meeting the people that found the egg to begin with and somehow they put him to work.

Then we finally get to meet DJ Mary in the anime and from there we hit the National Park for the Bug Catching contest, then we find a tree "blocking" a path, detour to the ruins Alph. We also get two evolutions and...are we going to lose another Pokemon!?!?

Then, stay tuned afterward for the second part of our special Christmas story as Professor Thistle is forced to face his past.
