Grab your Subway Tush (TM) and get comfy because Pride month is still going strong and the gals are discussing a family favorite: Will & Grace! This sitcom paved the way for more LGBTQ+ characters in the media, but it's still from the 90s, so you know there are still issues to discuss. Join Riley and Sid as they chat about memorable episodes, their favorite characters (or least favorite, in some cases) and why show revivals just don't work.

34: Crossroads - "I'm so glad we did this!"

This week, we take a road trip with Britney (and two other girls.) Join Sid and Riley as they discuss another MTV Films classic: Crossroads. Sid has a lot of feelings about the last 18 minutes of the film in particular and Riley has to explain who Zoe Saldana is. Friend break-ups are a real point of discussion alongside some amazing 2000s fashion moments. They also veer off into wedding plans and Riley's Shania Twain experience. It's your typical under-researched, over-indulgent episode of Ruining Our Childhood!
P.S. They know that Shonda Rhimes didn't write Bridgerton and that the show is based on a book series.

33: Oy with the Gilmore Girls trivia already!

Today, Sid and Riley play Gilmore Girls trivia, brought to you by Hallmark. (but not actually sponsored by Hallmark...yet.) Play along as they discuss what they did and didn't love from the beloved show and join in on the great Logan debate. The gals don't like him, but if you do, please write in with your reasons or answer the Spotify question!

    32: Fashions That Haunt Us

This week, Riley and Sid take a detour from last week's heavy subject matter to talk 90s and 2000s fashion trends. Join them as they discuss useless, tiny bags, low-rise jeans, skinny scarves and other staples from the past. Sid also spends some time dog-shaming Riley for her accidental auction purchase and the gals take a quiz naming their 2000s style icon (and accuse Buzzfeed of lazy quiz-writing.) Do these styles of yester-year hold up? It doesn't really matter, because they're coming back anyways!

So fun and nostalgic!

As a fellow nostalgia podcaster, this show is in my top rotation right now. The sisters’ chemistry is of course amazing, and the episodes are always hilarious and enjoyable unlocking buried millennial memories left and right. Loving it! - Clarissa, 30 D&D podcast cohost

An entertaining podcast from two sisters reminiscing over their childhood.

“Ruining Our Childhood” is a fun look back at pop culture of the 90s and 2000s through the eyes of two sisters. Riley and Cassidy are our hosts and it’s clear that these two sisters share a close bond as their chemistry and humor reminiscing over their childhood bleeds through discussions of their favorite childhood shows, artists and pop culture events. Each episode is vastly different than the last and it’s great how the sisters take turns on the topic of their weekly episode. Overall, it’s a fun listen and a podcast I’d recommend for anyone who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s.
