The entire family had gathered in the living room, enjoying the warmth of happy conversations after a long time. When suddenly, Vilas’s agonising scream was heard. As we gathered our withered minds out of one storm, we were caught in another one.

    मला रुममध्ये शिफ्ट करण्यात आलं. विलासचीही प्रगती चांगली चालू होती. मला डिस्चार्जही मिळाला. मात्र आम्हा दोघांच्या मनाला उभारी एकाच गोष्टीने येणार होती - एकमेकांची भेट होणं! विलासला पाहून १० दिवस उलटून गेल्यावर एक दिवस अचानक संधी आली...I was shifted to the hospital room. Vilas’s condition was steadily improving. Soon, I was discharged.  However, a journey without his company felt incomplete. At last, after 10 days of being apart, we met!

    ऑपरेशनचा दिवस उजाडला. अ‍ॅनेस्थेशिया देण्यापूर्वी मी माझ्या देवांना हाक मारली. माझ्या शंकराचा चेहरा संपूर्ण खोलीभर पसरला. माझी शुद्ध केव्हा हरपली मला कळलंच नाही.It was the day of the operation. Before entering the operation theatre, I made a quick prayer to the almighty. As the anaesthesia began seeping into the body, I could feel the divine positivity fill the room.

    विलासची स्थिती अशी होती की एका दिवसाचा उशीरही त्याच्या जीवावर उठला असता. मी नव्याने टेस्ट द्यायला एकीकडे, दुसरीकडे तापाने क्षीण झालेला विलास अशी आमची अवस्था होती. मात्र हळूहळू चमत्कार घडायला सुरुवात झाली...Vilas’s health had completely deteriorated. A day's delay would have proved fatal. Like a fragile thread being tugged on either end, Vilas and I were being tested by the difficulties of physical ailments and practical issues respectively. However, around the dark clouds of despair, a silver lining soon began to appear.

    विलासला भेटायला आमची नात - महिका आली आणि वातावरण आनंदाने भरुन गेलं. त्याची एबीजी टेस्ट अगदी काळजीपूर्वक करण्यात आली. विलास वेदना लपवण्याचा प्रयत्न करत होता पण आदित्यचे भरलेले डोळे पाहून सगळं कळून येत होतं.Our dearest granddaughter Mahika, came to visit Vilas and enlightened our gloomy world with her adorable smile. Vilas’s ABC test was successfully conducted with care. Vilas’s urge to subdue his pain was clearly expressed through Aditya’s tearful eyes.
