There and Gone: South Street covers the case of Richard Petrone and Danielle Imbo. Richard and Danielle were last seen leaving a bar in Philadelphia only to never be seen again. Nearly two decades later, they have never been found. Unlike most cases, there is not a single piece of physical evidence. But the FBI knows there was foul play. In There and Gone: South Street, the podcast team opens their own investigation on Richard and Danielle’s case with unprecedented access and cooperation from the FBI. Listeners will also hear from the family of the missing, close friends who were the last to see Richard and Danielle as well as local law enforcement, who continue to be haunted by this case nearly two decades later. This podcast will seek to find answers to this decades long cold case in an effort to bring justice to Richard and Danielle’s families.

Riveting and unusually humane
2024/11/11
This show dives deep into the families affected by this horrible event. I have been obsessed with this case for years. What happened to these two. The show looks for answers while also very poignantly examining how this tragedy impacted two very close middle class families. Some very moving character studies. Unexpectedly compelling for reasons outside the usual whodunnit; this is sadly a most unusual case.
One big mistake….

Despite all the ads (which I understand are necessary to make the podcast “free”), I found this podcast to be both well done and engaging….UNTIL the episode with the psychic. I do believe some people have extra sensory abilities, but seriously — this guy?? He basically claims to be communicating with the dead and then virtually recites ALL the key points of the whole, entire case. BUT, both he and the host claim he had NO prior knowledge of the case whatsoever. Yeah, right. So here’s my question for him: If the spirits are giving you all these details and clues, why don’t they just tell you who or what caused their disappearance and where exactly they are?? If they can communicate all that other stuff to you, then they ought to be able to give you that information as well. Please. SMH. A really good podcast was diminished by this guy’s performance. If he really has special abilities, he also has a good research team and a very practiced script. Unfortunately this issue really derailed an otherwise good and well-researched podcast. Get rid of that episode and you have a 5-star podcast.
Correction about Fishtown
2024/12/30
I live in Philly so I was naturally drawn to this case. Good show but small correction: The show portrays Fishtown (in episode 8 or 9) as still a rough neighborhood today. I figured the episode was dated, but then I saw it was released this year. Fishtown is gentrified, with houses starting in the 500Ks. Full of transplants from the burbs. Unfortunately, the medium lost me. It can be tough getting Philadelphians on board with the medium for a missing persons case.
Lots of Filler and No Answers
2024/12/24
I support getting unsolved stories out to the world in the hopes of finding new answers. This podcast, however, had so much filler and repetition that it got boring very quickly. The whole story could be wrapped up in 1-2 episodes, not 10. An entire episode spent on debating if the two victims were or were not a couple felt exploitative, not informative or interesting.
