    In this introductory episode, Dis/Mis host Debs Grayson tells you more about what you can expect in the first series of the podcast. Disinformation and misinformation have become hot topics in recent years. Conversations about fake news, conspiracy theories and how we tell truth from lies seem to be everywhere. In fact, they've become a common part of the news cycle within the very media institutions that these conversations are often trying to critique. Sometimes the whole arena can feel hopelessly confused when one person's fact checker is another person's purveyor of fake news. The terms of the debate themselves can seem to lose their meaning. In this podcast, we'll be trying to navigate this tricky terrain by zooming out a bit. With the help of media industry experts, we will attempt to answer the key questions around mis- and disinformation, as well as looking at the role technology plays and how the vital issues of the day such as climate change are impacted by misinformation.
