This is a great podcast if you want to get beyond the headlines and exhortations. Researchers with experience talking in a way that is clear for anyone to understand, and implications for the future as we sidle up with Covid for the long run.

It seems like whenever I hear something about the pandemic, there is always some critical detail left out or something that’s been glossed over or even muddied up. This podcast is such a welcome respite from that. The host is an expert who interviews other experts, rather than a reporter trying to do his or her best both absorbing material and figuring out how to present it as quickly as possible. Here all the pieces of the puzzle are in the box and are assembled correctly without fail. Importantly, there is no jargon in the podcast whatsoever. The host doesn’t use it herself and also doesn’t allow it to creep in in other audio used. The subject matter is complex, but whenever a term is important to use, it is clearly defined. On the bigger picture side, the topics covered have been critical ones. The episodes on the three recent variants were essential. Also highly important were those delving into the underreported but more consequential reasons for lower vaccination rates of various populations.
