Prof. Adomako Ampofo is a Professor of African and Gender Studies at the University of Ghana. She’s also an activist, who has advocated for women’s rights throughout her professional and personal life. She’s also recently stepped in the world of filmmaking, having produced and featured in “When Women Speak”: a pioneering documentary released in 2022 about gender activism and women in public life in Ghana, which you should absolutely watch.
