Freedom from Fear-Based Beliefs with Michael Hoffman

Beyond the Illusion

We’re back for Season 2! In our first episode, we interview Michael Hoffmann. Mike is the author of “The Face of the Iguana: Freedom from Toxic Beliefs, a Journey in Healing and Transformation” (under the pen name “Patrick J. McKallick.”) In The Face of the Iguana, he tells the dramatic stories of how fear-based beliefs, both cultish and religious affected his life, emotionally, physically and mentally and his eventual healing. Even if we haven’t experienced the childhood abuse, abandonment and religious indoctrination that Mike experienced, we can still relate to the toxic beliefs of judgment and separation from the divine that modern society instills in us from a young age. This deep seated-fear cripples us from developing self love and experiencing true inner freedom and peace. In this episode we discuss: Mike’s incredible journey from being raised by a raging alcoholic father, then abandoned to an orphanage, joining the Catholic seminary in Mexico at the young age of 12, looking for salvation in what turned out to be a doomsday cult and finally breaking free. What Mike means by the term “Fear Pornography.” The books that helped Mike deprogram himself from these toxic belief systems. The clever way he was able to leave the cult. The beautiful transformative spiritual experience that showed Mike that he is loved and supported by the Divine, that we all are. The many evidence-based approaches to Spirituality that helped him to ultimately release his fear of death and find true empowerment within. Get the full story by reading the book, which sprinkles humor and inspiration into his intense life experiences. You can find Mike’s book “The Face of the Iguana” on Amazon.
