The key turned, the engine came to life, a smile, some goose bumps, hand  on the shifter, ahead of us lay a new life to be lived on our terms.  That moment in our lives we thought came to an end in October 2017 but  after a short hiatus, the road called us out and we resumed our travels  in earnest. We spent 1,386 days on the road and traveled 80,000 miles  before we attempted to head back into civilian life. During that time,  we got to see every coast in the country, ventured south to Mexico, and  north into Canada. We traversed deserts, mountains, plains, forests,  cities and many places in between. The draw of the road, the overland  lifestyle was too strong for us to fight, so we regeared, refocused and  now we’re out here again.
