Dungeons and Daddies

Actual play TTRPGs can be measured on a spectrum between “live action Baldur’s Gate” vs “the game rules is a list of suggestions”. Dungeons & Daddies falls closer to the latter end and it works. It makes for one of the funniest podcasts ever. If you don’t expect a radio drama of players running minmaxed lich paladins or whatever, you’re more likely to enjoy it. The first few episodes of S1 are a bit rough (like any new series) as they figure out their format but it’s worth sticking with it. Alternatively, start with one of their later miniseries that are more polished to see if it’s your thing.

Want to feel like you’re hanging with most nerdy, talented and funny friends? No? What why? Ok then this is not for you but for everyone else then this podcast is a great time (plus their Patreon is well worth it too!!)

I started season one a few months ago looking to find something that would be fun to listen to but also give me even a vague idea of what DnD was about. Vague idea did it give me- I was hooked! The storytelling, the personalities, everything about this podcast is so interesting and fun. Laughed out loud in a cafe listening to it (which wasn’t at all embarrassing). Literally had to pause work to cry towards the end. I’m so glad this was my introduction to DnD and I’m so excited to keep listening!
