    S3E5: Is Jesus a Politic?

    Question of the Show: Discussing Jesus and if he fits any political party. A favorite refrain in left wing Christian writing is the idea that Jesus is a politic. That taken as a whole, Jesus leads us to a rather specific direction or policy because the values he expresses must lead us to these conclusions if we are honest. Of course, prosperity gospel preachers and MAGA and any other Christian is also sure that their specific policy is supported by Jesus. There are clearly commands in the Bible, but we’re not Jews so we already ignore some, and there’s many books written on the context of these commands.     Jack Kammer produced and hosted the radio show “In a Man’s Shoes” from 1983 to 1989. He went back to school in 2005 to get his Masters in social work because he saw that gender issues are connected to multiple serious social problems in the United States and in other developed nations. He was a correctional Officer in Baltimore City Detention Center.  He has written three books, “Good Will Toward Men”, “If Men Have All the Power, How Come Women Make the Rules?” and “Heroes of the Blue Sky Rebellion: How You and Other Young Men Can Claim All the Happiness in the World”. He has presented and worked with many organizations on men’s issues, including Congressman Elijah Cummings. He is the host of “Men Are Talking” and “Good Will Toward Men” podcasts, which air alternating weekly.
