S3E5 IFYS: ROXI SUGER - designer & founder Angelrox.com & Suger.me, Former Professor at Parsons The New School of Design INSPIRATION FOR YOUR SOUL with Cali Rossen

    • Society & Culture

Roxi Suger, designer and founder of Angelrox & Suger.me, and a Former Professor at Parsons The New School of Design

As a Professor at Parsons The New School of Design, she instructed design & marketing students in Fashion Industry Design - with an overview of the business of apparel with an emphasis on drawing and presentation skills.

Roxi's design collection is sold in over 200 fine locations across the country including a sweet little flagship boutique, Suger, serving angels of all ages and sizes with designs that transition from day to evening, from active to formal.  Her collection of elegant versatile designs is crafted from sumptuous plant-based bamboo and organic cotton knits that gently shape and comfort in cozy layers inspired by ancient beauty but ideal for modern women. The business is family-run and blossoming thanks to the beautiful customers that support them and the guidance of her wonderful husband Julian Schlaver and their talented staff that crafts each piece in a historic textile mill in downtown Biddeford, Maine. They are deeply committed to charity and community.  Seeking balance is the inspiration behind their logo and mantra, 'May Peace Prevail'.

During our talk, Roxi shares her fascination with the psychology of fashion, and she made notes on how a number or letter on the labels of clothing affected her customers to such a negative degree, that she devoted her collections to solve this issue, by empowering her customers to feel even better about themselves.  The sustainability & versatility factors are another high point of her clothing line. This talk will be an inspiration for your soul!
