S4E7 All About BREADA

Louisiana Ladies

We are so honored to be joined this week by BREADA's Executive Director, Darlene Adams Rowland! The Big River Economic and Agricultural Development Alliance, or BREADA for short, is an incredibly impactful nonprofit right here in Baton Rouge. You probably know them best for putting on the Red Stick Farmers Market each week in our city, but they do so much more! From weekly markets, to small farmer support, and nutrition education and outreach, BREADA aims to help sustain small family farms while also providing access to local foods for everyone, regardless of income level. Listen along to hear about all of the fantastic programming put on by BREADA each year and don't forget to check out their weekly farmers markets to grab some fresh, local food!
