Host is arrogant and biased against 1.4Pro

I hate having to leave a negative review on a podcast about a topic I am passionate about. The host does well connecting with people in the industry but that’s where the positives end. The audio quality is pretty poor in several episodes. Something that can easily be fixed. More frustrating though is the hosts insisting safety is super important but contradicting himself. With 20 years of professional experience he touts himself as knowing best practices, even brings on a product testing expert who combs through YouTube videos to report people to the ATF. The host then goes on to insist his method of making fireballs with flammable powders is the best way even after being told by someone more experienced in the topic that gas fireballs are the way to go. He goes on to describe reckless testing of legally dubious fireball devices in which he experienced “face melting heat” from disregarding basic fundamental safety principles. When a spectator was injured at an event due to his invention he is quick to dismiss the person’s injury. Also as a “professional” with years of experience he feels that 1.4Pro is too powerful and dangerous for consumers who he feels doesn’t have adequate safety training. Truth is there is more safety training required to purchase 1.4Pro than there is to get an ATF Type 54 to buy 1.3G product. Not to mention that the 1.4Pro products contain only slightly more composition that 1.4. With most 1.4Pro products having only an e-port necessitating a firing system the products are leaps and bounds safer because they allow the shooter to have distance away from the firework. This arrogant bias no doubt stems from his “professional experience” where he is lumping all recreational shooters as idiots who light off fireworks at the end of their driveway past 10PM and burn their neighbor’s house down. Now that he has actually gone to SkyWars, actually meet 1.4Pro shooters, and seen what 1.4Pro can do I hope he changes his tune. Finally the constant complaining about cliche fireworks pyromusicals is ridiculous coming from someone who hasn’t even scripted one himself. I hope the podcast gets better as the host gets more exposure to the industry as a whole. Being open minded to letting go of preconceived ideas would greatly improve the content and allow for great learning opportunities.
