Preparing for pregnancy is really important, but is a lost art in modern culture. Today’s preparing for pregnancy is a 5 minute chat with your OBGYN where you get off your birth control, get your IUD removed, and they tell you to pick up a prenatal vitamin from Target and good luck. In most cases, there’s zero talk or emphasis on the importance of a preparation period, the importance of diet (all they will tell you is to eat “healthy” - but no one really knows that that means), the importance of physical therapy or CORRECT exercise, etc. We believe that is setting women up for failure, and that’s what we want to spend today talking about. Fertility is the 5th vital sign for women, so if you’re not supporting your body and your ability to have children even if you don’t want them, you are doing yourself a major disservice. Annika has been in this phase for a while, so today we’re going to walk you through a timeline of how we recommend preparing for pregnancy, what we’ve walked our clients through on their fertility journeys, and what Annika is doing since she’s in this phase currently .
