Some terms used in this session: Adharma: Behavior that is not in harmony with cosmic law. Unethical, unjust, immoral behavior. Dharma: Living in harmony with cosmic law; righteous living. Kundalini: The primordial energy in the human body that, when awakened, creates the conditions for spiritual progress and Self-realization. Niyamas: Positive duties necessary for achieving self-realization; these include purity, contentment, self-discipline, charity. Prana: Energy. The “raw material” of Shakti. Samskaras: Patterns of mind or behavior, habits formed as a result of past karma (action). The personality mask with which the ego usually identifies itself is composed of samskaras. Shakti: Power. The active aspect of the Divine. Shaktipat: The transfer of Divine energy from a perfected guru to his disciple for the purpose of awakening the disciple’s Kundalini.
