A relatable story of new motherhood

As someone that also had a newborn that was hospitalized, I can relate to the anxiety, depression, and stress that comes with the fear for your child’s life. Hearing another mother’s story, especially from a medical professional and a psychiatric specialist’s perspective, is such a refreshing and welcome voice to hear. We don’t often hear about the scary and sad stories that come with motherhood. Thank you for shining a light on this, and for UCSF’s work to look out for the well-being of the parents that go through these difficult experiences.
