  4. Are Men from Mars and Women from Venus?

Are Men from Mars and Women from Venus?

Season 1, Episode 3 - Are Men from Mars and Women from Venus? This episode explores the societal norms around work and whether or not women and their cycles can appropriately fit into this stereotypical 9 to 5 style of working. If, as women, our energy changes around our 28-day cycle, how do we work with our hormones rather than against them? If men's hormones operate in a 24-hour cycle, how are we meant to sync up in the workplace? What changes can be made in our workplaces to support the different hormonal systems? Additionally, we explore the maximum amount of output that should be expected from employees in a job. Giving 110-150% isn't realistic or sustainable. What does work/life balance really look like? We must be more realistic about what we can actually achieve day in and day out. Rest is a discipline that must be practiced. To rest is to trust. Taking time to rest is really trusting in the work that you've already achieved and letting go. Taking a step back and letting go of that need for control allows us the space to feel gratitude and gain perspective.
