    Don't take the Bait

    Welcome to another week of an episode of Conversations with Toi. This week we are on top of the social media stories that has been on the internet. From the 17 year old mom who was being put out due to not cooking food for her 20 year old. In addition there is a picture floating around the internet of young girls who happen to be high schoolers with bust down wigs, lashes, and more. So the conversation took a turn on whether or not the girls were "too grown." Lastly displaced stay at home moms-are you all okay? Yes if you allow your husband to work and you don't have any income, no skillset, and more you set up yourself for anything in the future. This is coming from a retired stay at home mom so I do know what I am talking about. ............................ Don't take the bait-how many comments are you engaging with folks online matters? I am on a 2 comment limit with folks regardless. Even if I know them. I am not allowing anyone to take me there over the internet. Great practice to be about too during this election season too. ........................     Lows of Mental Health

    Sometimes the lows of mental health can be a lot. This week I felt like I had been hit so hard that it felt impossible to get through. I want to remind you that it felt like that, and I was able to push through. If you have moments when you feel like you are tested and you feel like you are losing, you aren't. .................. Such tools as therapy, setting boundaries, retreating temporarily are helpful to help you gain insight and move forward. .................... My heart goes out to the victims and in my opinion preventable deaths of the 2 students and 2 teachers killed at Apalachee High School. in addition to the many who were injured.     On this week we remind you how deserving of good you are owed. Life happens to all of us. When things go left remember that you are deserving of the life you seek. Do the work. Remain committed to the good. . Also Diddy the Diddler is at it again and this time with Danity Kane's own Dawn Richards. The abuse she alleges is heartbreaking. At this point I don't know if cancel culture really exists but if it did he would need to be the first on the list. Damaging harm to someone's mental health alone is absolutely horrible. The demeaning ways in which he controlled these women is astonishing. . Mental health has its highs and lows. You can experience joy and I pray that for you always. ..     Who has your joy? Joy sometimes is what we give away-why. Joy is not for sale. You don't need to give the keys to your happiness to others. Often times we count on others to be happy.
