Scott has probably one of the most recognizable art styles in the swimbait community. Working with brands like Toxic Baits and LDC, his work is displayed in countless living rooms and man caves all across the world.



We talked about all things graphic design and calico bass fishing. We learned the backstory and timeline for Bowsnarrow, along with how Scott targets these calico bass in huge green kelp forests. It was a great conversation between two creators trying to make their work known in the community.

I felt like I was talking to a lifelong friend when interviewing Shawn. Coming from New York, I was excited to discuss what his fishing experience is like and how it differs from mine, even though we're only a few hundred miles apart.

We talked about the similarities we share in the waters we fish and compared notes on our experiences. Shawn might not be a 10-year veteran like some other guests, but he has good fish under his belt and some really good ideas and knowledge about his area's fish. He also surprised me with some of the topics we discussed.

In the industry, there aren’t many names as well known as Mike Bucca, or Bullshad Swimbaits for that matter. I was lucky enough to sit down with Mike and discuss the beginnings of Bullshad and what it was like going into bait building full-time before the scene was developed like it is today.



We talked about the many designs Mike has, his pricing, and how he was firm on his prices at the beginning of Bullshad. We gained insight into Bullshad that isn’t widely known, such as how the Texas freeze in 2021 affected Mike’s prices and continues to do so today. Mike also explains his new collaboration brand with GSM, Bucca Brand.
