With a Bachelor's degree in English from Emory University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from The University of Mary Washington, Eugene's academic prowess is matched only by his diverse experiences.

As an accomplished author of six books, including titles such as "IT'S A READING THING... HELP YOUR CHILD UNDERSTAND" and "REFLECTIONS OF A CONFUSED MIDDLE CLASS BLACK YOUTH," Eugene brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the conversation. We explore his unique approach to education, including his groundbreaking SAT verbal prep guide, "GROUNDED IN THE WORD," which draws upon vocabulary from the King James Version of the Bible.

Yet despite this critical work, school psychologist shortages, lack of diversity in the field, and mental health stigmas persist.
