Screen Freeze | When you Need to Reset Screen Time for Your Kids with Camille Walker The Irish Mummy Podcast | Work Life Balance

    • Parenting

Today we meet with Camille Walker and discuss the issue of screen time for your kids and how to change how your family approaches the devices that hound our modern day culture. She tells us about the positive effect cutting back on screen time has had on her 4 year old son, and then gives us the 5 things to work on for mental health, which are: 1) Focusing on health with what we eat 2) How much sleep we’re getting 3) The exercise that we’re bringing into our lives 4) Communicating about it 5) Keeping a check on our screen time. We talk about how screen time can affect kids at different ages and how they handle it at first when you take the screens away vs how they handle it once they have adjusted.

“You’ll see as parents, I’m a mother of four, and screen time affects my children differently. It’s not all the same, and yet for my one son that it affects severely, it is enough that we really had to evaluate the amount of time we were spending on screens and how it was affecting his mental health specifically.” 3:08
