SE02_EP12: THE BLACK ATHLETE EXPERIENCE

thee family tree podcast

Hey family!

We're back with another episode.  In this episode, we touch base on The Black Athlete Experience.  We sit down with Shay Hodge who's a Mississippi native.  Hodge played for Ole Miss and was afforded the opportunity to play in the National Football League!  Shay was able to share a lot about his upbringing and the reason why he chose to attend a PWI versus an HBCU.  We discuss how the community plays an important role in a Black athlete's life and the importance of keeping that tradition going.  We know that there are a lot more things that we can make a career out of but we seem to gravitate to sports and entertainment often and our cousin Shay shares a lot more.. So, tap in and tell a friend and as always - #stayrooted.
