Search for a Stronger Supply Chain: Lessons From a 2nd Generation Recruiter w/Jason Breault

Talent Hunters

Before covid made it a hot topic, the supply chain wasn’t something a lot of us ever really thought about. We never had to think about efficiency, interruptions and certainly not the people who work to keep all the global logistics running.

That is unless, you’re Jason Breault - who has made search in this critical field his life’s work. He can walk into Target, notice a lack of cherry ChapStick, know who to call and what role that needs to be filled!

The 2nd generation recruiter is driven by the engineering aspect of supply chain management, and running a business that allows him to be present for his family.

In today’s episode, he shares his journey, his passion for supply chain management and what he learned from his father.

The biggest challenge has been to convert from being a good salesperson and recruiter to be a good mentor and manager to others. -Jason Breault

Guest Bio

Jason is the Managing Director of LifeWork Search, the leading national recruiting firm specializing in supply chain planning and procurement across industries such as Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, Packaging, High Tech, Medical Device, Pharma and Biotech. “I absolutely love what I do. Recruiting, to me, isn’t just helping a company find the next hire or a candidate for their next job. It’s about being a matchmaker – facilitating that connection that two parties would not have been able to make on their own.” Taking that beyond staffing, Jason helps to run the New England chapter of the Institute of Business Forecasting (IBF), an organization committed to advancing demand- and supply planning practices globally. He has spoken at several ASCM and IBF events on the State of Employment in Demand- and Supply Planning. Jason’s recruiting career is built on a 12-year foundation serving ERP and Supply Chain needs in both domestic and international markets. While at Siemens Business Services, he leveraged his engineering background and German fluency to solidify SAP consulting engagements with multi-national organizations. Jason then spent 5+ years at AMR Research in Boston (now Gartner), a leading research and advisory organization focusing on the supply chain best practices and applications being leveraged to help cut costs and increase revenues. Jason earned a BA in German and a BS in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Rhode Island.
