Season 2: Episode 2: Restyle Your Fur People over Product Education in sustainable fashion (Formerly: LiveableMe- sustainable + fair)

    • Society & Culture

In this episode, I speak with Santa Labellman, of Restyle Your Fur. She married into this family business, that has been around since 1919, formally called LaBelle, out of Florida. Learn about how the fur industry is actually one of the most sustainable industries, where and how it’s really sourced, and what they’re doing to keep it fashionable. She informs us of the importance of using every piece of each garment and how the furrier (a technical person trained in working with fur) creates one-of-a-kind pieces, among other things. She enlightens us in explaining how sustainability and the fur industry go hand in hand, and that it’s the education, or lack their of, of the consumer that needs to change. We hope you enjoy this episode on fur & sustainable fashion.
