Season 2 Teaser: How Lockdown Has Affected the South Asian Community

Brownology podcast

So here we are season 2 and in 2021, we are experiencing lockdown in the UK.

I had plans for this season to focus on Women’s mental health issues however I feel that we are all experiencing ‘collective trauma’ and right now we all need our experiences and stories to be heard and felt. Therefore Season 2 of the Brownology podcast is going to focus on how lockdown has affected the south Asian community. We will be covering a variety of issues that we are all going through.

This will include: Parenting in a pandemic, Pregnancy and birth, being a new mum, living with chronic illness, caring for the elderly, living alone, living with in laws or extended family, living with your parents, grief, loss, and breakdown of relationships and domestic violence. These episodes are about you, us, our community.

Our voices and an opportunity for us to think about how COVID has impacted our mental health during the past year. Join me over the next few weeks, where we, together face these issues and of course I will be offering suggestions that may help us get through this.

So join me, because this is about us.
