Museum People

I love hearing from so many different people in the museum field. The tone is positive and focuses on the joy of working in museums, but does not shy away from discussing some more serious topics including diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessiblity in museums. I recommend this series to museum workers as well as anyone who works in informal learning or for a mission-driven organization.

When I heard the host speak with seeming shock about a boy playing with dolls, and then later revealing he was gay and that his "parents didn't care," (Season 3, Episode 1, ~ 13:00 mark) I could no longer listen. The comments of the male host were offensive, and to think that that voice represents people within a field that is meant to respect the history of all peoples is disgraceful.
