    Make Room for God

    Make Room for God

People tend to use good works as a replacement for salvation through Jesus Christ. This sermon addresses Solomon's efforts to construct a temple as a continuation of his father David's legacy. He waited to hear from God until he had finished the temple. We explore the liberating encounter of Jesus Christ in our lives and how this encounter equips us to perform good works.

    Remember the Last Time

    Remember the Last Time

We often immediately forget what God has done for us after we have been through a rough storm in life. In this #SermonReCast episode, we review the narrative of the disciples in Mark 6. They had witnessed and experienced the miracle of feeding the multitude and have become fearful because they were now in a storm. We explore Mark's rationale that these disciples become fearful because they did not understand what happened to them last time and if they had only remembered it would have calmed their fears.

    Permission Granted

    Permission Granted

There are times when we are confronted by harsh winds and violent waves while we are desiring to come to Jesus. We often look at the account of the disciples in the storm in Matthew 14 and become critical of Peter for sinking. What we fail to realize is that Peter is the only one of Jesus' disciples who were willing to get out of the boat. Great rewards come with great risks and the question presented for us is what are we willing to risk in order to get to Jesus?
