Shahnameh

hey i'm really glad that this is still going on. i stopped listening once i let go of my old ipod and started boycotting itunes for a while. i didnt think id be able to find this podcast again --not, at least, on the itunes directory pages. very proud to have shahname on my iphone, and very thankful of amir for continuing, despite all business, to generate more heart-warmening, mind-carrassing Shahname sessions for all of us around the world. i'm waiting for someone to do a recitation of the masnavi. there is a stupid english one already, but thats stupid. i want a persian one. if no one does it, i'm going to start doing it myself. ill prob read half the things wrong but at least ill learn while trying. hmm..

i am persian and i love ferdousi and his great great work, The Shahname. i like the idea of this podcast but there are some problems with it. rostam never mentions the names Mohammad nor Ali but the podcaster seems to be more interested in this section. the relationship between rostam and god is clear and with no prophet mohammad or any other obstacle. it is such a disappointment that most persians look at this small section of the shahname and are fascinated by it Religious Significance while there are many more beautiful sections. i give this podcast a 5 because im persian and shahname is awsome!

This podcast is thorough and very informative.
