My name is Dr. John Watson, once of the British Army Northumberland Fusilier Regiment, now a true crime podcaster based in Central London. I don't have much experience in criminology, so this is mostly a record of how I met possibly the most brilliant and bizarre person I have ever (and will ever) know. Join me as I document the adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

DEMON OF THE SEA - the iconography was everywhere we stepped on the island. Etchings of her on walls, murals in the pub, poems and songs depicting her beauty but also her brutality. Had Harris Stackhurst really fallen victim to an attack from a fantastical demon of the deep?

THE WHITE WHALE - we were paid a visit by Maud Bellamy from the island of Fjara. There had been some unusual activity in her community for a few months and now her fiance was found dead. Questions needed answering, so the gang (not Archie, he stayed with Wiggins) headed to the remote Scottish island of Fjara.

AMERICAN LONEWOLF IN LONDON - we had hastily constructed a code for Abe Slaney, as if we were Elsie. We were going to get him to return to The Norfolk and 'rescue' his beloved. Little did he know, we were waiting. Along with about 87 armed police officers.

Favorite Sherlock Holmes Adaptation

My greatest respect to Dr. Watson and Mr. Holmes for their work on the podcast, and Ms. Ametxazurra for her work in the background ensuring the cases run smoothly!

Story aside, as an avid fan of Sherlock Holmes since childhood, I’ve been a big fan of how Sherlock is portrayed in this adaptation. We have too little positive autistic representation in media, and it was delightful as an autistic person to see our quirks be faithfully acknowledged. The cases are wonderfully adapted for the modern age and the characters within are so interesting and well-written.

Yay!!!!

Thank you to that one Instagram user for enlightening me about the existence of this here podcast

I absolutely LOVE this podcast, first of all, the characters + characterisation and voice acting are phenomenal! You can hear the emotion so well and pick up on details about each character by the voices alone. Also just in general the characters are so charming and wonderful and I love listening to all the silly shenanigans they get themselves into.

I really enjoy the writing and the stories of each episode too, every episode is entertaining and exciting - not to mention the comedy too. It has a wonderful balance of serious and funny moments, some of which have made me chuckle to myself out loud. Also I love the use of foreshadowing, I think it’s very well done (I love me some foreshadowing).

It wasn’t until fairly recently that I discovered this podcast, but it’s already so ingrained into my routine that I’ve gotta listen to one or two episodes every night (I’m currently on my first rewatch (re-listen?)).

Sherlock & Co. is quite possibly my favourite SH adaptation, and there is literally so much about this podcast that I love and I could both very easily and very happily rave about it for hours but I should probably refrain from writing a short novel’s worth of review (it’s very tempting though). In short, this podcast is amazing and you (🫵) should listen to it. (Right now)
