I love the show and look forward to it every Friday. My faves are the happy hour shows and the breadth of perspectives each person brings and the depth of topics. It feels like I am joining in for a fun happy hour with my girlfriends to chat about one of my fave topics—money and how to save it, money and how to spend it and money and how to increase it! Also, I am secretly stalking the Financial Gym to become a BFF some day. I love what y’all do!

Shannon constantly interrupts and talks over her guests. Like they can’t get a word in edgewise! And if she is having an expert guest on, it is because they are the expert. Please let your guests speak. Also the alcohol talk seems bordering on disordered.

This podcast dishes out a lot of irresponsible advice. Promotes basically being an alcoholic and Shannon seems like a narcissist. The convo always circles back to her and her own personal stories we’ve heard a hundred times even when the topic does not call for it.

In case you haven’t noticed, politics has infiltrated every corner of our society. So much so, you can’t do much these days without hearing it. I, for one, am tired of it. I’ve been listening to MAYM since 2016, and I used to love the show. Now, a LOT has changed since then, but one thing that I thought hadn’t was this show, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Apparently that has changed in the last year or so. I’ll admit, I haven’t listened as regularly as I used to for various reasons. But when I went to listen to some of the shows in the backlog, I was appalled. It has become overly political. I have unsubscribed, and I hope that one day it can return to its origins, and then it may regain a listener out of me. It’s sad because the format was so unique, with the drinking and talking about money. I just can’t handle the politics!

I love this podcast, been listening for YEARS and finally sharing a review. I love Shannon’s integrity and honesty and also her incredible knowledge and helpful advice. What she has built, both with the gym and the pod, is truly a gift to the world. If you are a woman (or a man but definitely if you’re a woman) and interested in money, this show is for you.

Finally, a podcast that talks about the everyday nuts and bolts of money and financial literacy in a format that’s welcoming and easy to understand for those who may be new to the concept. Why is this not taught in high school? Shannon’s no-nonsense approach and warm demeanor really helps create an atmosphere devoid of the intimidation and sense of exclusivity that seems to be the norm with financial education. Plus, the range of practical topics always keeps me interested and learning something new. It’s nice to know there are quality resources out there for your average working guy/girl who doesn’t have the 7 digit bank account but can still benefit from some sound advice. Thank you!
