Simone Fougère - Hosting an afterparty for Cocoon in Ibiza, Running a label, and the struggles of living off music

Simone has been spinning vinyl in London, Europe, Egypt and Ibiza since 1999. She's had  residencies at clubs in London such as The End and Match Bar. She’s also played many other underground clubs across london, festivals such as Bestival and Snowbombing, and more recently living in ibiza with a residency at Benirras Elements playing at villa fashion and art private parties.  

Between 2000 and 2004, she managed the record label “Kog Transmissions” where she promoted  New Zealand electronic music and brought artists to play in London at Fabric nightclub.

In 2020 she moved back to New Zealand and started a weekly radio show on AoteaFM great barrier island where she aimed to showcase a journey into electronic sound exploring the origins and genres.

Most recently, I saw Simone play a fully vinyl set at Shipwrecked festival which was exactly what was needed at the time of the afternoon that she played. It was deep, groovy, a little bit of early 2000’s and had the dancefloor moving till the early evening.
