I Hope you do the Safavids

I was on the fence for the first couple episodes, as the hosts were still finding their voice and style. But by Astyages, I was hooked. This is a lot of fun if you're someone like me who wants something informative but also entertaining to get you through the work day or a long drive. It's really cute when Sariel gets excited about something, and I appreciate all the work Umberto has put into the research. Would you guys consider a separate podcast once this is over doing a deep dive into The Histories by Herodotus? Would love to hear you discuss that. Thank you for putting this out there. Cheers!

This podcast is amazing!!! I just finished the Alexander episodes, which were awesome! This is one of the great Rexypods and meets the highest “standard,” worthy of Alexander himself! (hint-hint, wink-wink, nudge-nudge) The show is very informative and lots of fun. I am absolutely impressed by the level of detail and analysis that the hosts weave into every episode, all while keeping the narrative clear, light hearted, and accessible to a general audience. The hosts are so hilarious and have an awesome rapport. Umberto is a great storyteller and does a great job of consulting the myriad (and scattered) source material, while Sariel’s reactions are hilarious and accurately represent all of us listening to the wacky stories of these wacky monarchs. Keep up the good work! Everyone should listen!
