Draw Near To God And He Will Draw Near To You

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you is a profound invitation found in James 4:8, where God promises a reciprocal relationship with those who earnestly seek Him. This verse encourages believers to actively pursue closeness with God, emphasizing that He desires intimate fellowship with His children. When you take steps to draw near to God—through prayer, worship, studying His Word, and living in obedience—God, in His grace, draws near to you. The sermon will highlight how drawing near to God is both a spiritual discipline and a relational act. It involves surrendering your heart, repenting from sin, and intentionally creating space for God's presence in your daily life. As you seek Him, you can expect not only His nearness but also His guidance, peace, and transformation. In times of joy or hardship, God promises to be with you, offering comfort, strength, and the fullness of His presence. This message will inspire believers to deepen their relationship with God, knowing that when you draw near to God He is always ready to draw near to you. You Must Be A Good Steward Of Everything You Have

You have a calling to be a good steward and recognize that everything you have is a gift from God—your time, talents, resources, and even your very life. The Bible teaches believers that we are not the owners of these blessings, but stewards entrusted with their care and management. Stewardship extends beyond managing money or material possessions; it encompasses all aspects of life. We are to steward relationships, health, and time wisely. In 1 Corinthians 4:2, the apostle Paul says, "It is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy." This means living intentionally, making decisions that honor God, and using what He has given for His glory and the good of others. This sermon will challenge you to evaluate your stewardship and inspire you to be a good steward. Are you using your resources to further God's kingdom? Are you investing in what is eternal rather than fleeting? As a good steward, you are called to reflect God’s generosity, wisely manage your gifts, and live in a way that brings honor to the One who entrusted them to you. Till Death Do You Part - Married For Life Sermon Series Part 3 of 3

"Till death do you part" is not merely a phrase spoken during wedding vows, but a powerful declaration of God's divine intent for marriage. In Scripture, marriage is portrayed as a lifelong covenant—a union meant to reflect the eternal commitment between Christ and His Church. Jesus taught that marriage is meant to be permanent, saying, "What God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6). This commitment is not bound by fleeting emotions or circumstances but by a covenant of love, faithfulness, and mutual sacrifice. The Apostle Paul further emphasizes this truth in Ephesians 5:25, instructing husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the Church, giving Himself up for her. Such love is enduring and sacrificial, going beyond mere convenience or temporary satisfaction. A marriage that lasts "till death do you part" reflects this selfless, enduring love. This sermon challenges Christians to reconsider the true meaning of marital commitment. In a world that often treats relationships as disposable, God calls believers to honor the covenant of marriage with perseverance, forgiveness, and grace. As you face trials and hardships in marriage, hold fast to your vows, trusting that God’s strength will sustain you in our commitment through every season, until death do you part with your spouse. Divorce Is Not An Option - Married For Life Sermon Series Part 2 of 3

In the eyes of God, divorce is not an option. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not merely a contract that can be easily broken. The Lord established marriage at the very beginning, declaring that a man and a woman should leave their parents and become "one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). This divine union is meant to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church—one of love, commitment, and faithfulness. Jesus Himself taught that "what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6), underscoring the permanence of the marital bond. Divorce, while allowed under certain circumstances such as marital unfaithfulness (Matthew 19:9), was never God's ideal. It was permitted due to the hardness of human hearts, but even then, it is not the Lord's preference. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) because it causes pain, division, and brokenness, and it undermines His design for marriage. In His eyes, the commitment made in marriage should be steadfast and unbreakable, a picture of His unwavering love for His people. Divorce is not an option and should not be seen as an easy escape or a viable solution to marital struggles. Instead, God calls us to pursue reconciliation, healing, and restoration. He offers grace for the hurting and strength for the weary. Through prayer, forgiveness, and a renewed commitment to one another, couples can experience God’s transformative power in their marriage. Divorce is not an option when we trust in God’s plan and seek His help to honor the covenant we’ve made. Avoid An Unequally Yoked Marriage - Married For Life Sermon Series Part 1 of 3

In the sacred institution of marriage, the Lord commands His people to unite in holy matrimony with those who share the same faith and commitment to His Word. The Apostle Paul, in his epistle to the Corinthians, admonishes believers with a clear and solemn instruction: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14). The yoke, a wooden bar placed across the necks of oxen to bind them together for a common purpose, symbolizes the bond that a marriage creates. Exactly as two oxen must walk together in unity and strength, so must the two hearts in a marriage be equally aligned in purpose, faith, and devotion to God. To marry an unbeliever, or one who does not share the same faith in Christ, is to enter into an unequally yoked marriage and invite discord into a relationship that is meant to be a reflection of God's love, holiness, and unity. The Bible teaches that light cannot coexist with darkness, nor can righteousness and lawlessness find common ground (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). In the same way, a believer’s heart and mind must be joined in agreement with someone who loves the Lord and submits to His will, so that they may walk together in harmony, bearing the fruit of the Spirit, and fulfill the divine calling upon their lives. When You Ask You Must Be Ready To Receive

In this empowering sermon, we will explore the vital principle that when you ask God for something in prayer, not only must you ask in faith, but you must also be prepared to receive what He has for you. We will unpack the biblical truths surrounding prayer, highlighting the importance of approaching God with sincerity, trust, and a readiness to accept His answers—whether they align with your expectations or not. Exactly as a child must be ready to receive a gift from a loving parent, you too must be prepared to embrace God's will for your life, knowing that He gives good gifts in His perfect timing. Through practical examples and personal application, we will learn how to position ourselves to not only ask with faith but to also receive with gratitude and obedience. When you ask God, be ready to receive all that He desires to pour into your life—whether it's a blessing, a lesson, or a call to greater faithfulness. God is eager to answer, and your readiness to receive will unlock the fullness of His promises.
