Thoughtful and notable for its specificity

Deepa’s work for justice is compassionate, thoughtful, and built in relationships in a way that clearly comes across in this podcast. The relevance and specificity of each episode feels particularly poignant in an era where there are a multiplicity of tactics being employed across movements. Listeners might not agree or identify completely with every perspective a guest brings to the table, but can frequently understand the reasons behind the lane they choose for themselves in working to build a better world and undo oppressive power structures. In a time full of superficial calls for unity, Solidarity Is This allows people to share their own specific stories, while asking bigger, often difficult questions about the conditions necessary for people with varying degrees and frames of power to really find solidarity with one another.
Insightful, Highly recommend!

I've always found Deepa's analysis, especially in these turbulent times, to be insightful and as she engages a variety of activists and organizers from across multiple identities and sectors, I'm continuously reminded of just how thoughtful she is. Even as someone who knows Deepa and has had the opportunity to work with her, I am finding myself learning something new and never hesitate at the opportunity to listen and share. Whether you a new to activism and organizing or are a vetern, I highly recommend the Solidarity Is podcast.
A light in the darkness!

I’ve learned so much from this podcast. Deepa’s honest, thoughtful conversations with activists from across the country are eye-opening and deeply reflective. These podcasts dive into a range of issues, from disability solidarity to climate justice, and they lift up the voices of leaders who have been working hard on the frontlines of these movements for years. Every episode is engaging and so enjoyable to listen to, and they also help build road maps for the future with clear, actionable steps for building solidarity. Thank you, Deepa!
Hugely disappointing

I wonder how Deepa could actually create space for activists and people who don’t come from the immense amount of privilege as her, without taking up so much of it? This podcast is an attempt at something many podcasters have done much better, without her platform. It’s time to make space. She also very much upholds the non-profit industrial complex and simple activism that wouldn’t require self-reflection on her own part, by who she has on her show.
