And the leaders of the Universities, particularly of Columbia, are failing them by not stepping in, and implementing leadership when these students are turning against one another. When it comes to the pro-Palestinian protests, there are questions that have to be answered. Where are the parents? Who are the people funding the protests? Why are the protesters hiding their identity behind the scarves? If you want the light, take the heat. The academic institutions having failed in leadership does not mean that we as the collective should fail in exposing the misguided protests.

As we watch Columbia University students protest and chant troubling phrases like, "we are all Hamas", it's incumbent to ask if this is helpful in any way. How does the Kennedy family endorsing Biden help? How do people that make threats towards the jury in Trump's NY trial? Do Trump's attacks on the judge and his family help? Cuomo makes the case that our obsession with the upcoming eclipse and today’s earthquake is indicative of our country’s self-interested desire to be part of something bigger than ourselves. But if we do aspire to be something more, should we not apply that motivation to cause those in power to say the right thing when it comes to Israel’s war with Hamas?  Should we not hold Trump to account in moments of deception like we would ourselves?  The example Chris uses to answer these questions is through his own experiences of having the former president twist Chris' words.
