Brett DeMott delivers a performance so stunningly lifelike and emotionally charged in this podcast that it’s easy to forget he’s a CGI monkey portraying a 90s pop star who failed to break into the US market. Every flicker of his digitally enhanced eyes, the subtle twitch of his fur, and each rant about hi ex wife conveys a depth of feeling rarely seen in real humans. It’s the kind of podcast that leaves you questioning reality—and singing along. I give it 5 out of 5 Rock DJs.

You deserve an explanation, so please don't skip this 1-minute read. It's Saturday, December 14. Our fundraiser will soon be over, but we're still short of our goal. If you've lost count of the number of times you've visited Wikipedia this year, we hope that means it's given you at least $2.75 of knowledge. If just 2% of our most loyal readers gave $2.75 – more or less the cost of a coffee – we'd hit our goal in a few hours. We ask you, sincerely: don't skip this, join the 2% of readers who give. Thank you.

My hospice nurse won’t stop playing this podcast. When I ask her not to, she pretends not to hear me and just says that “it’s time for your doughboys, yum yum” and then plays it through a blue tooth speaker she’s hidden somewhere in the room. I’ve also tried explaining that I don’t need hospice care and that I’d like to go home, to which she responds by shaking her head, laughing, then mutters “Jimmy Carter says the same thing” and “neither of you will make good mummies with that attitude.” Great podcast overall, very informative.
