The To Read List Podcast

I’m so glad I found this podcast. All of the hosts are witty, charming, kind, and down to earth. It has definitely helped to soothe a lot of anxiety while also expanding my reading horizons. What they call shame I call more opportunities to escape during this slow and steady apocalypse. Too dark? Then I’ll say this: It’s like being a part of a cozy chat with friends about what they’ve been reading. So thank you to the friends I’ve never met.

The most boring episode ever! Step it up guys!

I’ve recently noticed myself unconsciously applying the “elf’s and orcs” review system to my recent reads. I blame this amusing habit on the fact that I devoured the entire To Read List backlist over the last few weeks. Now if only I could make similar progress on my own To Read List shelf …(okay, yes, shelves)….

I don’t even know how I found this podcast, I think I was just searching Spotify for bookish podcasts, and found this one. I have anxiety issues and a really hard time falling asleep and staying asleep, and podcasts are how I calm myself and my anxious brain so I can relax. This podcast is now my go-to, HAVE to listen to podcast, I seriously listen every single night. Yes, I’ve made my way through all the episodes, some I’ve listened to many many times. There is something so comforting and calming about listening to a brother-sister-family friend-husband talk about books (my favorite subject) with each other. I love them all so much, and they bring me so much joy! 💜 Listening to their conversation, their bookish insights, their humor, and their creative games just disarms me so much, and I feel safe. 🥰 Thank you, Bailey, Toby, Andrew, and Dillon for making these podcast episodes, it really means a lot to me! 💕
