Soul Goal #8:

G r o u n d i n g

I remember telling a friend months ago that I was having a hard time really cracking my anxiety issues that just wouldn’t loosen up even after applying my tried-and-true therapy tools and techniques.  Her advice?  Grounding!

I felt like the biggest piece of granola on the planet that afternoon as I walked around in my front yard, barefooted, with traffic passing by my house, no doubt wondering what had gotten in to their neighbor.  But something really intriguing happened after a few minutes…I could catch a deeper breath in my lungs…I felt my brain slowing down…and I genuinely felt a really sweet peace pass through my body.

Call it connection to God, call it connection to Mother Earth, but ever since this weeks’ challenge, I’ve used grounding to help pull me back to center.  

This process is really genuine, extremely simple, and one of the best pieces I’ve incorporated in to my week.
