Is Paul Dano OK?

Like many, Sanada came to my attention/obsession because of Shogun. My friends and family are tired of hearing about him so I’m glad there is a whole season dedicated to him. Can’t wait until the next episode!!!!

Very new to the “danonation” (as a growing group of very dedicated fans call it) and have been having so much fun listening to this podcast :) I’m really sad episodes are inevitably going to slow once y’all start catching up with his filmography, but I’ll be excitedly waiting for new ones when he makes more stuff! During covid quarantine I decided I was going to stream and rent every film/show Paul Dano had starred in, as he is my favorite actor. It took me four months but I did god’s work, annoyed husband and all. I debated on ranking these myself for my own weird personal enjoyment, but as a stay at home mom with two tots I never found the time. Then I stumbled upon this instagram and saw the “shelf of Dano”, discovered this podcast, and now I get to listen to people discuss all the media I just binged on. Especially people who are in the film industry themselves. As a psychologist, I have been fascinated with psychoanalyzing a few of his fictional characters— so to hear others ask “is Paul Dano ok?” is the “aha! I found my people!” moment (and podcast) I didn’t know that I needed. Escape at Dannemora is my favorite role of his and I cannot wait to hear the podcast cover this in another season. In summary: yessss!
