3 Reasons to Write God's Words on Our Doorframes

In today's episode, we speak on the command God gives us to write His words on our doorframes. We explore three reasons he may have us do this, and some practical ways in which we can execute this in our homes! We end on Scripture from Proverbs and 2 Corinthians which reminds us that our hearts are the ultimate landing place for God's words to dwell. "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:6-9 "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 11:18-20  "You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." 2 Corinthians 3:3 "Do not let truth and mercy leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and good understanding, in the sight of God and people. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding." 2. Sowing Seeds to Achieve Our Desires

Sowing Seeds to Achieve Our Desires

Galatians 6: 7-10 : Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. 2 Corinthians 6: 7-10: Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;  in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;  in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;  in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;  through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors;  known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed;  sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. Jeremiah 17: 5-8 This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man,    who draws strength from mere flesh    and whose heart turns away from the Lord. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;    they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,    in a salt land where no one lives. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,    whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water    that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes;    its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought    and never fails to bear fruit.” Psalm 1: Blessed is the one    who does not walk in step with the wickedor stand in the way that sinners take    or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,    and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,    which yields its fruit in seasonand whose leaf does not wither— Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.
