Do You Really Know Enough About Te Tiriti?

Te Tiriti o Waitangi is one of the most important documents in Aotearoa’s history, but let’s be honest - most of us weren’t taught enough about it to truly understand it.

And now, with the Treaty Principles Bill sparking kōrero across the motu, we’re being asked to form opinions, take sides, and have a say on an issue that many of us don’t fully understand.

If you’re feeling a bit lost or unsure, you’re not alone. 

For a lot of us, the version of Te Tiriti we learned growing up was a bit like the watered down Raro we had when we had to make 1 pack stretch to fill a 2 litre jug - watered down and missing the good stuff.
