As always, speak your intentions for the readings to your Spirit Guides and loved ones ahead of time. This gives spirit time to prepare information for the things that are most important to you. Also make sure you choose the reader whose methods best match with what you are looking to receive.  If you absolutely want to connect with loved ones on the other side, you definitely need a true psychic medium.  If you are more interested in guidance, direction, and clarity on what’s currently happening and your next best steps, then a channeler using oracle cards may be a better fit.

Today we are talking about a topic that is getting much more attention lately. With the idea of mental health gaining importance a lot of people are realizing the uniqueness in the way they think and navigate the world. Neurodivergence, ADHD specifically, would obviously have an affect on how you receive intuitive messages. We have Chandra Arrington with us for this episode. She is a previous student who has had to navigate this very challenge.

Why It Can Be More Challenging for Channelers to Connect 
It’s more challenging for channelers in general to connect because there is no tangible result of the message. You didn’t see or hear anything. You didn’t get an emotional response from seemingly nowhere.  You just know things. Since we are born intuitive most channelers have been doing this their entire lives and don’t realize its intuition. Neurodivergence can make connecting to that knowing or “gut feeling” more difficult because of the hyperactivity in their mind. It makes it more difficult for them to be present in their bodies to experience that feeling. 
ADHD Symptoms That May Affect How You Receive Messages 
By the very definition of neurodivergent it stands to reason that cognition is going to be different for the “neuro-person”. When the hyperactivity of ADHD shows up as inner chatter of the mind that can’t be turned off, it makes for very little room for clear intuitive messages to come in. Chandra also shares how some other adhd characteristics affect intuition. 
Best Tips To Get Clear Intuitive Messages If You’re Neurodivergent 
The biggest tip for the Channeler is to trust. Trust your guides are they and that they are guiding you even if you don’t sense or receive anything in the moment.  Channelers are often more physical and get messages when in motion. Listen as Chandra shares how it felt when she realized she actually was getting intuitive messages and how they were coming in. 
How To Deal With Feeling Like You Don’t Get Intuitive Messages 
Just as Whitney teaches, consistency is a key aspect of successfully connecting with your Guides. Even though you may not get the message immediately you can work with your Guides to make sure it happens in other ways. Your messages start to come in other ways. Something a stranger says at the grocery store, an article comes across your path that is about the very topic you were asking your Guides about.  Be consistent with connecting and trust they will provide you the answer some-way, some-how when the answer is needed.

Orbs are just another manifestation of Spirit communicating with us. Most often if you see an orb whatever you think it means (first thought that occurs) is usually what it means.  It can be a call to stop and talk with your Spirit Guides, or it could be a quick wink from Grandma Ruby who stopped by to say hi. 
What Questions to Ask When You See an Orb 
Most often you’ll get a feeling about why you’re seeing the orb. Just lean into that feeling. That’s your intuition. Ask questions based on that feeling. If you feel the orb is just your Guides saying hello, acknowledge them and thank them for visiting. Then just ask if there was any message or just a visit.

The Deeper Reason It Feels Awkward To Tell People You Are Intuitive 
Sharing the fact that you are intuitively connected should be something to be celebrated. However, not everyone is as open to the topic of intuition and things can get awkward. There are many reasons why it feels this way. There may be some wound you carry that inhibits you from speaking freely on the topic.  
How To Tell Your Spouse and Family You Are Intuitive 
Clear communication is necessary in any healthy relationship. If your spouse is not as woo as you, you’ll need to explain your intuition to them in terminology they will receive and understand. Whitney gives some great examples. Including some beautiful ways to protect your energy in these types of conversations. 
What To Say When You Have an Intuitive Message For Someone 
Again it may be best to put the message into words the person will accept and understand.  One example is when you say “I feel like you should….” the person may accept it is only you providing an opinion vs you delivering an intuitive message. 
How To Handle Telling Groups You Are Intuitive 
Sometimes it’s helpful to start out with more general terms to do a “vibe” check to see if the person you are speaking with is even interested in the topic of intuition. This way you get to determine how much energy you put into explaining about what you do or not. Whitney shares some beautiful ways to protect your energy in these types of conversations.

Do you feel like you struggle to get messages from your Spirit Guides with clarity? Are you constantly feeling like you should be asking them for more detail?  If so, here are 6 ways to get better messages from your Guides. 
What Your Spirit Guides Say To Do To Get Better Intuitive Messages 
This goes back to how Spirit communicates. They communicate through energy. So, obviously our energy will be key to receiving the information accurately. It's not a mental or physical game.  With any type of communication, place the focus on where the info will be coming from. 
Why You Should Take Your Spirit Guides On A Date 
Don’t laugh! I’m being totally serious. Think about a blind date.  How easy is it to communicate with that person you just met? Usually it's awkward AF, right.  It takes time to build rapport, get used to any uniqueness in their communication style (accent, word choice, cadence, etc).  You have to spend time getting to know them before communication becomes fluid and comfortable. Why would we expect a relationship with our Spirit Guides to be that much different? 
What To Ask To Get Better Messages From Your Guides 
To get better messages you have to…. (drum roll, please).....ask better questions. Just as in human interactive conversation, open ended questions get more detail than questions that dictate short 1-2 word answers.  Give Spirit the room to lay out all the guidance they can share. 
When Is It OK to Ask Yes/No Questions to Your Spirit Guides? (And When Is It Not) 
Sometimes you may be asking expansive questions and requesting more detail and all you hear from your Guides is crickets. There are instances where they can’t give us any more info to ensure we remain fully in our free will to decide our path.  In cases like this, it may be beneficial to ask yes/no questions.  Whitney gives some extremely relatable examples to help you see how this approach can serve you. 
Let Your Guides Lead 
There can not be enough importance placed on clearing our mind and releasing control when it comes to spirit communication. Clearing the energy and space to allow the new information to come in should be the first step you take when you attempt to communicate with your Guides. 
Just Do It 
If your Guides are giving you direction and insight on an action to take (that feels aligned of course), just do it!  If you were constantly giving a friend AMAZING advice that they never acted on, wouldn’t you start to feel like you were wasting your breath the next time they asked.  Taking the action lets your Guides know you listen and that you are ready and willing for the next step so the guidance will continue to flow.
